
Mohamad Fityan Nay&Composition
Mohamad Fityan (born August 1, 1984 in Aleppo, Syria) is a Syrian musician and composer, best known for his exceptional mastery of the Nay and Kawala. He completed his diploma at the Higher Institute of Music (2004–2009) and was a soloist with the Syrian Orchestra and the Syrian Jazz Big Band from 2003 to 2013.
Since 2014, he has been living in Germany, where he has appeared as a soloist with numerous orchestras, such as the Berlin Symphony Orchestra, the Brussels Jazz Orchestra, the Bavarian Philharmonic, and the Trickster Orchestra. Through radio, television, and the internet, he continues to reach an ever-growing audience. As a master of the Nay, Mohamad Fityan represents his instrument on the YouTube channel of the Elbphilharmonie.
